WR4UF - "We are for UF"
AFGAR is a non-profit organization whose purpose shall be to assist the Gator Amateur Radio Club, a UF student government organization, in fulfilling its objectives; to promote interest in, and increase the usefulness of club radio station W4DFU; to support the W4DFU station facility; to promote a spirit of cordiality, mutual acquaintances, and good fellowship among the members of the organization; to ensure that W4DFU is integral to the general welfare of the University of Florida as an educational institution; and to foster generosity through providing equipment on loan for use by GARC.
Alumni and Friends are part of our Gator Amateur Radio Club Family. AFGAR, the Alumni and Friends of the Gator Amateur Radio, is being set-up to assist GARC in its quest to bring the best of amateur radio to the students and to create future leaders in the hobby and in the career paths of their choosing.
